My process
When I travel, I like to bring a small sketchbook and a set of pens, watercolors and pencils with me to document my journey. I find that sketching is a great way to capture the unique atmosphere and character of a place, as well as to remember specific moments and details that might otherwise be forgotten.
I start by sketching the main landmarks, buildings and monuments that I visit, paying attention to the details and architectural elements that make them unique. I also like to include people in my sketches, as they help to bring the scene to life and give a sense of scale to the composition.
As I move around the city, I also sketch street scenes, markets, and other local sights that catch my eye. I try to capture the energy and movement of these scenes, and often include notes and observations alongside my sketches.
When I return home, I often use my sketchbook as a reference for larger, more detailed illustrations or paintings. I find that the sketches I make while traveling are a great way to remember the places I've been and the things I've seen, and they also serve as a valuable source of inspiration for my art.
Overall, making travel sketchbooks is a great way to document your travels, and also a fun way to practice your artistic skills.
